ATS Diversity Forum
The annual ATS Diversity Forum focuses on diversity within the fields of pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine and research. All ATS Members are invited to attend this event to find inspiration and valuable career insights.

The goal of this year’s Diversity Forum is to provide attendees with a greater awareness and understanding of how diversity is incorporated into the ATS values and to inspire attendees to take steps to improve diversity at their own institutions.

Learning Objectives:
1. Understand the history of diversity efforts at the ATS
2. Know the current activities and initiatives at the ATS directed at promoting diversity
3. Describe specific interventions that can be undertaken at the leadership level that will lead to measurable improvements in diversity in respiratory medicine

ATS President Juan C. Celedón, MD, DrPH, ATSF, will present on the History of Diversity at ATS. Neeta Thakur, MD Chair of the ATS Health Equality and Diversity Committee will discuss the ATS Response to Current Events Surrounding Diversity and Racism. Talmadge King, MD, MACP Dean of the School of Medicine and Vice Chancellor for Medical Affairs will present on Advancing Diversity at the Leadership Level at USCF.

The Diversity Forum is organized and presented by the ATS Membership Committee and will be hosted by its Chair Clement Ren MD, MBA, ATSF and Vice Chair Meshell Johnson, MD.
