SRN Townhall - "Beyond Biological Limits: The Role of Sleep in Professional Burnout”

The ATS Assembly on Sleep and Respiratory Neurobiology (SRN) is excited to invite you to attend the second session of the virtual townhall (TH) series on Sleep, Professional Burnout, Moral Injury and Wellness in Pulmonary/Critical Care/Sleep Medicine.
“Beyond Biological Limits: The Role of Sleep in Professional Burnout” is scheduled for Thursday, June 16, 2022, 3:30-5 PM EDT. The session features Dr. Indira Gurubhagavatula, MD, MPH, from University of Pennsylvania and Dr. Matthew Weaver, from Harvard University as presenters, and Dr. Caroline Okorie, MD, Stanford University and Dr. Sushmita Pamidi, MD, MS, McGill University as co-chairs. The main objectives of this session are:

1. Describe the role of sleep in healthcare professionals’ burnout
2. Review the impact of sleep deprivation on healthcare worker performance and patient safety
3. Review what we have learned from sleep-related interventions in medical settings

The presentations will be followed by what we anticipate to be a robust discussion, with a panel of key stakeholders including:
